OUTDOOR LEARNING
Outdoor learning develops a sense of identity and curiosity while developing the SIJS superpowers of resilience, reciprocity, reflectiveness, resourcefulness and responsibility. At SIJS we have a unique landscape which we use to enhance learning opportunities across the curriculum, helping us to understand our relationship with the natural world and our role as stewards of the natural places in St Ives and beyond.
The SIJS Award
We have recently launched ‘The SIJS Award’ which is all about having fun while developing skills that will last a lifetime! There are 4 awards to complete during a pupil’s time here at SIJS – Bronze in Year 3, Silver in Year 4, Gold in Year 5 and Platinum in Year 6. You can view the booklets using the links below.
