59.8% of people in Cornwall identify as Christian. It is the only religion to be followed by more than 0.5% of the population. We want to give our children an understanding of how different cultures and groups of people see the world live and show commitment to their Gods. At SIJS, we develop an understanding of what life is like for people of different faiths and not just learn about different religions and how religion plays a significant role in their identity. We believe religion is like an iceberg: the more we explore it, the deeper understanding we have of it and this gives our children a deeper understanding of the beautiful diversity of the world and a curiosity to find out more about.
